INFORMATIONWe are increasingly making use of new technology to keep our members informed. Regular emails and text messages are proving a very effective way of keeping members bang up to date. Our website is growing all the time and lots of information is available there. | Taking partCompetitions and social events are flagged on the club website and the notice board in the corridor to the changing rooms. Put your name on the sheets to take part. Contact the captains to enter the round robin competitions. For junior coaching contact the junior liaison officer. The club caters for various standards of players. Listed below are some of the regular activities: CLUB NIGHT Open night where non-members are welcome to join us and try out the game without initially committing to membership. Suitable for beginners upwards. ROUND ROBINS Groups of 5 or 6 players of similar standard. Promotion / relegation on result of matches. Contact Captains to enter. SOCIAL TOURNAMENTS Doubles matches of mixed standards often followed by food and the renowned Tennis Club craic. TENNIS FESTIVAL The big annual social tournament. Daytime ladies and gents competitions. Mixed event in the evening followed by food and the craic. Sponsored by Alchemy Software Development.INTER CLUB LEAGUES Various competitive competitions throughout the year. CLUB CHAMPIONSHIPS The highlight of the year reaching a climax on Finals day in September. Everyone encouraged to enter the many competitions. LADIES MORNING Regular tournament on Wednesday mornings followed by coffee and a chat! JUNIOR TENNIS American tournaments, Round Robins, Club Championships and Coaching. WEEKEND AWAY Social highlight of the year. Tennis and golf organised or do your own thing. Social get together after dinner each evening. OTHER TOURNAMENTS Husband and wife competition, Adult/Junior tournaments, Portmarnock shield. COACHING Regular junior coaching and adult coaching depending on demand. |
